Belissimo! Full packaging re-design for The UK’s favourite Italian chef *chefs kiss*
The UK’s favourite Italian chef, Gino D’Acampo, bought the taste of Italy to rural Lincolnshire recently when he recruited us to design the packaging for a range of fresh and frozen pizzas and first-to-market, chilled ready meals that launched in Asda at the end of 2021.

Gino’s new range of Italian dishes has been inspired by his family life in Italy, with many paying homages to his Mamma and Nonno, who taught him some of the recipes made famous in his many cookbooks and television shows.
Favourites such as; ‘My Mamma’s Lasagne’ and ‘My Nonno’s Cannelloni’ can now be enjoyed by everyone.
The fish range is an extension of this ready-meal collection and includes authentically Italian fish dishes such as Amalfi style sea bass and cod Napoletana. Having grown up among the fisherman on the Neapolitan coast, the new range of fish dishes have been guided by Gino’s core principle; bringing maximum flavour together with simple, high-quality ingredients.
Working closely with both Gino, Asda and their team of suppliers, we managed the design project from beginning to end, including photography at their dedicated photographic studios in central Manchester, the creation of packaging mock-ups via our in-house ‘Proof Plus’ team and pre-press and repro service prior to the designs going to print.
Using the iconic ‘Gino D’Acampo’ branding as a starting point, the design team created a packaging design with Italian provenance, incorporating the colours of the Italian flag with mouth-watering food shots.
