Halter & Forge is a premium Montana whiskey where Western heritage, luxury, and radical sustainability converge. Guided by a mission to rehabilitate rangelands, strengthen communities, and rescue second-chance horses, the brand transforms these values into a tangible design narrative.
The bottle’s form, inspired by historic frontier water canisters, serves as a canvas for the spirit of the American West. The primary metal label features hand-drawn illustrations of native flora used in soil restoration in Montana rangelands, drawing aesthetic cues from ornamental metal ponchos found on traditional horse tack. .

The pinnacle of this sustainable narrative is the bespoke handcrafted whiskey case. In a feat of circular luxury, each case is meticulously constructed from deconstructed, reclaimed saddles. Because no two saddles share the same wear, or history, every individual case tells a unique story. By pairing weathered leather with recycled metal and wood, the packaging grants these materials a prestigious second life while honouring the generations of master craftspeople who shaped Western riding culture.
Beyond a spirits bottle, Halter & Forge is a collectible tribute to conservation. It’s a tactile, high-end experience that proves the rugged traditions of the past can be elegantly transformed into the sustainable luxury of the future.
